Quality Assurance
Quality Assurance is one of the most important issues that the Faculty of Business Administration gives great attention. This attention is based on the great value of the concepts of quality assurance and their reflection on the improvement and development of the educational process at the faculty.
From this standpoint, the Quality Assurance Unit at the faculty performs many tasks such as: planning, implementing, evaluating, and improving the educational process. That means it starts from the educational buildings, libraries, books, programme specifications, course specifications, teaching and learning methods, evaluation methods, the educational platform (Moodle), educational technology, measuring stakeholders’ satisfaction on the educational services provided by the faculty.
The Quality Assurance Unit is also concerned with preparing technical and statistical reports on its academic programmes at the end of each semester, and taking all needed corrective actions based on the results emerged from the reports.
The Quality Assurance Unit is also interested in evaluating the methods of exams’ designing, reviewing the success and failure rates in all academic courses, and extracting some conclusions that can be used to improve and develop educational performance of the faculty.
The Quality Assurance Unit also pays more interest to spreading the relevant educational awareness on quality assurance among the faculty’ members, staff, tutors, and students.
Last but not least, the Quality Assurance Unit at the faculty also attaches special importance to the readiness of its academic departments regarding the institutional and programme accreditation by the Quality Assurance Center in Libya, and other accreditation institutions in the world.
The quality assurance unit carries out several activities, including
- Developing and implementing quality assurance standards.
- Conducting regular reviews of courses and programs.
- Providing feedback to faculty and staff on ways to improve teaching and learning.
- Participating in accreditation processes
- Disseminates information about quality assurance to the faculty, staff, and students.
- Provides support to faculty and staff in implementing quality assurance initiatives.
- Identifies and addresses quality issues.
- Monitors the effectiveness of quality assurance initiatives
The quality assurance unit has made significant contributions to the organization, such as
- Helping to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
- Increasing student satisfaction with the faculty of business administration.
- Increasing academic staff satisfaction with the Faculty of business administration.
- Preparing the self-study report, and applying for accreditation.
- Commitment to continuing to improve the quality of education and research at the faculty of business administration.
The unit is confident that its work will help to ensure that the faculty of business administration remains a leading provider of business education locally.
Recognition and Accreditation
Libyan International Medical University Recognition & Accreditation
The Libyan International Medical University is one of the Libyan private non-profit universities, which obtained its recognition from the Libyan Ministry of Education in 2007, the date of establishment. the university also obtained its Initial Institutional Accreditation from the Libyan Centre of Quality Assurance (Tripoli), the body responsible for accrediting Libyan Higher Education Institutions, under the approval certificate No. 21-08, for the year 2008.the university also managed to have most of its academic programmes accredited by the Libyan Quality Assurance Centre as well over the years 2008 – 2018. The latest one was the Pharm D programme, which was accredited in September / 2018 by a scientific committee follow the Libyan Centre of Quality Assurance. The newly established faculties of Information Technology & Business Administration have succeeded in attaining their Institutional Accreditation in May 2019. They are now working hard in order to obtain Programming Accreditation.
